Release highlights: New activities in the Web Client
The current release provides CP-Automation Workflow users with two new activities in the Web Client.The focus is on reducing manual steps, speeding up data access and keeping structures consistent.
New activity: Download folders
The new download function saves a lot of time, especially when data is required on a regular basis. Folders can be downloaded directly from the Web Client and processed immediately.
Users benefit from:
- Targeted user selection - determine for which users the folders are downloaded.
- Individual folder selection - directly determine which content is required.
- Flexible time period control - freely selectable time period, with portal time period as default.
- Simple further processing - the content is automatically saved in a local variable and can be used in subsequent activities.
This facilitates access to current data and supports consistent workflows without detours.
New activity: structure synchronization
Consistent data is the basis for reliable analyses. With the new structure adjustment activity, discrepancies can be automatically corrected - without manual reworking.
The activity performs tasks such as
- Matching linked elements,
- Generating and updating formulas,
- Calculating relevant key figures,
- Linking related databases,
- tree structure sorting,
- profile-based settings via service user, database and profile type.
This ensures that the database remains consistent, regardless of how many areas or users are involved.
What is CP-Automation Workflow?
CP-Automation Workflow is part of Corporate Planner and is used to automate recurring tasks. Users can map processes - from data extraction and checks to the adaptation of structures - in the form of workflows and have them executed automatically.
This reduces routine work, reduces sources of error and ensures that there is more time for the actual controlling tasks: analyzing and managing the company.
