WAG Wohnungsanlagen Gesellschaft m.b.H.

Three Questions for Dr. Johann Eisner

    What was your starting point?
Our planning was only ever top-down with simple models. Although bottom-up planning would have always been the better option, it just wasn't feasible. Excel was unsuitable for this purpose and carried a high risk of error.

    What are your highlights?
We can now incorporate changes in the business environment with relatively little effort. In particular, the Corporate Planning solutions have made it easy for us to take the current trends (inflation, interest rates) into account.

     What lessons have you learned?
For a long time, performance issues got in the way of our work. Because of the model's complexity, we needed to collaborate closely with the technical developers to upgrade our cloud capacity. It surprised us just how difficult this was and how long it took. Using Saxess as the data warehouse brought huge improvements when carrying out the annual database updates.

"The CP solutions have enabled us to create an overall picture of the company, including a valuation based on long-term calculations. We can now model simulations with different scenarios and parameters. This forms the basis for excellent reporting as well as medium and long-term planning."
