Three Questions for Georg Falkner 

What was your starting point? 

Our starting point, before implementing the Corporate Planning software, was having to rely heavily on Excel and merging data from several different source systems manually. Our consolidation was carried out by an external partner. This was extremely prone to errors, which was why we were looking for a software solution with comprehensive and efficient business planning capabilities as well as self-service functions for the target-oriented management of our business. 

What are your highlights? 

Corporate Planner stands out above all thanks to its versatility and has the flexibility to be customized to a company's specific requirements. In addition to bottom-up and top-down planning methods, the software provides simulation and scenario calculations as well as forecasting tools. These plan values flow directly into the integrated financial plan. 

What lessons have you learned? 

To get the most out of Corporate Planner, it's essential to define clear objectives for the software implementation right from the start. Involve an experienced consultant at an early stage to help you define these objectives and guide you through the implementation process. You should also ensure that your employees are all given the necessary skills to use the software effectively.
