What was your starting point?
Planning at Polymer Competence Center Leoben GmbH was done on an annual basis using a series of interlinked Excel sheets, which, owing to their complexity, were often overloaded and no longer returned accurate results. It was always difficult to create a forecast because the Excel sheets were so inflexible.
What are your highlights?
With the Corporate Planning solutions, our evaluations can be created and calculated in an instant, so we're much quicker at answering many ad-hoc requests. Quarterly and annual reports are generated by mouse click immediately after importing the actual data, and calculations of all kinds with the Corporate Planning solutions are rendering more and more Excel sheets obsolete.
What lessons have you learned?
Before you can start building your structure in CP, it's essential to develop a well-thought-out concept. It's also important to fully document all the integrated processes.
