What was your starting point?

We’ve been using Corporate Planner for more than twenty years to obtain reliable financial information quickly with very little effort. This includes calculating actual variances from the plan, the P&L, drawing up the balance sheet, cash flow calculations – in other words, management reports and analyses. From this position, we’ve repeatedly discovered new areas of work where we’ve been able to speed up and improve processes with Corporate Planner.

What were your highlights?

The SAP interface provides us with the latest data at any time with just one click – without having to go to the trouble of importing and exporting from Excel. As a result, we’ve become much quicker, eliminated sources of error and can now focus on the essentials.
Another highlight for us was the introduction of Corporate Planner Cons. With the changeover, the entire consolidation process, including the preparation of financial statements during the year, became a lot less complicated, quicker, more transparent and easier.

What lessons have you learned?

Corporate Planning is developing Corporate Planner all the time. It’s well worth keeping an eye on the new features and evaluating them with an expert as a sounding board – which in our case is W&K Controlling from Paderborn. By doing so, we’ve been able to make improvements again and again. The most recent example is the introduction of the Corporate Planner Web Client as a central access portal for custom reports.
