What was your starting point?

Before we introduced CP, our financial management was based on a variety of highly complex Excel sheets. These were prone to error and had become almost unmanageable.

What are your highlights?

The DATEV connection through a Saxess interface has made our data import fast and reliable. CP offers other flexible data imports as well, including from Excel sheets. The different planning data streams, such as Budget, ACT and FC, have made our planning and corporate performance management tasks easier too.

What lessons have you learned?

Don't try to replicate your existing solutions in CP. Instead, familiarize yourself with CP and its possibilities first, and then create the optimum solution for your requirements, keeping CP best practices in mind.
